Each year when we have undertaken our detailed Risk Assessment, we have prepared a Route Card for the year’s route, detailing every mile, turn and hazard of the route. Some riders printed this out to take round with them, others simply read it to get an idea of the route and its hazards. For example, this was 2024’s Route Card:

For 2026 and beyond, we have decided to focus on fully signing the route, because rider feedback has been that this is far more helpful than having to consult a route card at every junction. Most riders also now download the route to their GPS devices.
